Mac OS X Text Editors

I'm after a text editor that:

• Does not have the price tag of BBEdit (I'm on a budget)
• Is simple to use (read, not Emacs)
• Runs natively on Mac OS X (looks pretty and is written in Cocoa)
• Understands XML (syntax highlighting, closing of tags)

Let me know what you use.
