Just so that it doesn't get too quiet here, here's some of what I've been busy with during the last week and a bit:
- Inching closer to ADSL (I've decided upon a Netgear modem, but need to wait for some final checks to see if my phone line/exchange can support ADSL)
- Read two good books, The 47 Ronin Story, and also Geeks
- Installed Red Hat 8.0 (twice, I managed to break X somehow.. ugly stuff.)
- Had a beautiful weekend in Katoomba
- Made a list of museums to visit, starting off with The Art Gallery NSW
- Saw LoTR Two Towers (awesome, but was expecting more of Gandalf .. I haven't read the books)
- made it to the next level on Splinter Cell
- got my head around a design pattern, great article by Doug Purdy
- and finally, several hours of driving with the instructor (*cough* still don't have my licence yet)
