In my short little buying spree over the last week one of the purchases was ecto. This Mac OS X blogging tool is way cool, one of the neat features that it provides is the skinning of the app with either the traditional Aqua look or the newer iTunes brushed metal look. Tres cool!

The popup link window also remembers the previous settings e.g. setting the hyperlink target to open in a new window, and the "rel:" attribute set to nofollow. One feature that is seriously lacking, either by this tool or the API that it uses to communicate with my MovableType weblog, is the management of categories. Right now, if I need to edit/create/delete any of my categories I need to login to the MT administration site and edit through there. Not a show stopper, but it's not a complete solution.
