After hearing George's speech yesterday on the radio I thought to myself that that must have been the worst speech he had ever given. I'm not alone (registration required).

If you've listened to his speech, and how can you have missed it, it's been on the air all day and that's here in Australia, you would have noticed the annoyingly long pauses in between the sentences. I've been picturing him in trackies (trackies?? What tha?!) just coming in after a morning run, with the make-up artist quickly doing their thing, and in front of the cameras with him tilting his head and squinting to read the cue card, and nodding his head in agreement with himself.
