Something just isn't right about the recently announced partnership between Microsoft and MTV. Of course, its obviously very Applesque, but they're missing one very important piece to the whole puzzle. The iPod mPod.
A recent trip to Harvey Norman reminded me why Apple's iPod is so successful, I believe the figure is at around 80% of the portable mp3 player market here in Australia, it's a darn good looking device, most of the time it works very well (minus the scratches and battery life), there is also a creative design team who have a knack for good design. Simple ingredients to a successful product. Ingredients that are missing in most other players.
I'm not expecting this new partnership to mean too much with out confronting the hardware side of things and possibly a more lax DRM module.
