Unfortunately not a week goes by until I read that yet another cyclist is fatally hit by a car. The most recent incident is in Wales where icy conditions contributed to a driver losing control and hitting several cyclists, four died on the spot, including a fourteen year old boy.

Whilst on my weekend ride I saw a couple cycling, one of them had her helmet strapped onto the front of her handlebars! Other than stupidity I'm not sure what it is. Not only is it common sense it's also law here in Australia to wear a helmet, if only the Police were there to see it!
