There’s been quite a bit that has kept me away from writing here in the last few weeks. For the most part it’s been my university studies which has consumed most of my free time. However, I’ve successfully completed in building the iPhone application which is a basic asset register app that talks to a SQLite database via a Sinatra web service. There’s nothing like being thrown into the deep-end to learn something new!

En route to building the application I drew on Treehouse to guide me through, they really provide an excellent service and learning experience. They offer great tutorials not just on iOS development but other web geekery as well. I’d have to say it would have been very difficult to get through the subject without them.

Now that the semester is done I’m getting back on track with some other projects. One of which is the update of this site – suffice to say, it’s been a long time coming!
