Whilst not as comprehensive as Scott Hanselman's tools list, here's what I currently have installed to get me through my .NET development tasks:
- Visual Studio 2012 - love it so far, but I do need to find a medium-dark theme to help me out
- Microsoft Web Platform Installer - for all the good bits!
- Browsers (Firefox & Chrome) - Usually have these browsers running concurrently
- Windows Live (Messenger & Writer) - for the blogger in me
- FileZilla FTP - Been using it for a while, does what I want and does it well
- GitHub - I will eventually port my code here, right now I'm using this to manage some forks
- JetBrains dotPeek - Go to app since Reflector when not so free
- MagicDisc - for mounting ISOs etc.
- Microsoft Office 2013 - Loving it so far, nice and clean UI
- SQL Server 2012 - Need I say?
- mIRC - Can't believe IRC is still around, still a great way for group collaboration
- Notepad++ - Finally ditched Textpad
- Ruby - Tried Python, couldn't get past the whole indent-thing
- VLC Player - Plays whatever I have!
- WinMerge - Great two-way merge tool
- WinPCAP - Used with tools from Pocketsoap
- Sysinternals (the complete toolkit) - the Swiss army knife for windows
